Germany contributed 14 Tornado-ECR (Electronic Combat Reconnaissance) strike fighters to the Kosovo War. Ten were used for defense suppression; four were used for photo recon. The Tornadoes flew 428 defense suppression missions, firing dozens of HARM anti-radar missiles. Four German Tornadoes took part in the first night's attacks.--Stephen V Cole
